Clutch basket differences 1100et

Hi all . Just looking through some old boxes and noticed I have two different types of clutch basket (outer) for an 1100et . 

One has a complete outer face which houses the plates . And the other has slots down the side for the plate teeth to sit in. 

 Any ideas why there were two types ??

Pictures would be good, didnt actually think that the 1100ET had any different baskets, maybe it from another model, GS1000 baskets are a similar size

Might be an EFE basket? I think they're different to ET.

GS thou basket has open slots.....
