Guest Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) hi guys and girls sorry to be going on about my 97 blandit 1200 again its near running spot on but it has a rough spot on just as you get on the throttle from about 1000 rpm to 2000 rpm its making pulling away a litte on off ish the bike itself goes like the clappers with plenty of power and easy 1st gear power wheelies even with my 96 kg bulk as i said in previous posts ive cleaned the carbs and renewed the float valves and o rings also reset the floats. Is it time to look at the emulsion tubes and needles ? i did a colour tune on it and no1 wanted less fuel 3 turns for no1 and 3 1/2 for 234.its all standard jets with a race can the carbs were quite shitty when i first cleaned them out but im confident they are clean.any ideas please this little problem is driving me nuts the only option i got is some dyno time at tag racing here in kent Edited April 21, 2016 by yellowcakeuf6 Quote
caferacerdan Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 if you have K&N filter too, the rough spot could be the bike running lean as standard jetting with can and filter too much air not enough fuel? Quote
wraith Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 If it's bogging down below 3000 rpm it will be the pilot screws that need setting or the o rings need replacing, as main jets and emulsion tubes don't come in till after 3000 rpm. Saying that a race can will altar the jeting. 1 Quote
