Hey I’m having trouble popping the signal generator off the gs 1100 gl, the manual doesn’t tell me if I’m supposed to loosen the mounting bolt by holding the Allen and turning the wrench left or right. I’m really sorry if this is a dumb question btw

The nut is just a 'key' to hold the ATU - to remove the ATU, undo the socket head bolt, regular thread, Leftie loosie!

Do you have any tips it seems really stubborn

The cap head bolt might be loctited so some heat may help soften the threadlock. And use a tight fitting allen key to avoid rounding the inside of the bolt head. Extra leverage will probably be necessary but don't go mad as if it rounds then it's going to be a whole lot more difficult to undo.

Hey really embarrassed to post this but the Allen just came in and well Idk if I’m doing it wrong from what I can understand I’m supposed to hold the he ATU or the big nut while I turn the cap head bolt that’s in the keeping the ATU in place right, would it be easy to just add a Allen bit to a brushless drill and undo the it like that or is that a dumb idea or am I just doing ur wrong

This should help . . . . . and I assume you have a manual? Note : std isn't a cap head bolt ! But the big hex is effectively keyed to the crank so can be used to rotate engine as required - do this with the hex bolt or a cap head and it'll generally snap!

Forget my references to the 'ATU' - I see from the pic that yours is all electronic. The big hex is part of the rotor which is keyed to the c/shaft - otherwise instructions stand. Yes hold the big one, turn the little one - turn the key around as it'll take a bit of torque and using the short end will give better control over force applied!
