baldrick Posted September 21 Posted September 21 hello, does anyone know the length of gen 1 bandit 12 fork legs please from fork top to spindle centre if possible please Quote
baldrick Posted September 22 Author Posted September 22 ok cheers, was looking at a set of usd forks ive got sitting from a gsxr 750, but they are a fair bit shorter. Quote
MrKris Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) The 750 work just have to harden them up to not hit oil cooler i ran the 750 Srad (730mm) on mine for 2 year fine just slight rub on mudguard see last picture just rubbed the paint off but now have upgraded to more modern R1 forks much better but not cheap Can always chop the back off the guard to gain a touch more room Edited September 25 by MrKris Quote
TonyGee Posted September 25 Posted September 25 not a good idea cutting the mudguard Kris !!!! if the rotating wheel hits the oil cooler their will be a mess 1 Quote
baldrick Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 i think that "if" i do fit the 750 forks i will have them extended to be honest or it would be a tankslapping mess. forks are gsxr 750 k8/9 ish and are 29 inches, or 735mm so not miles away r1 big bang forks ive got on busa are 720mm or 28&1/4 inch , which is a pity. TonyGee Posted September 25 Posted September 25 for me i tend to go for GSXR1100 forks as they are only 10-15mm shorter than B12's and a lot easier to get everything to fit, BUT try and find a good set ????? 1 Quote
baldrick Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 i know mate, i actually bought the k8 forks for my 1100m fighter because it was as cheap as getting the standard stanctions re-chromed. well, i say that....it wasnt by the time id bought the wheel, discs calipers etc lol.... its a real shame as the rest of the forks are mint and they are the longest slingy ones. 1 Quote
