If I were to run the engine with a Dyna ignition, am I right in thinking the facory CDI is completely overruled (and therefor can be removed)? It would be for a streetbike, so will need lights, startermotor and the like, but I can build a loom for that. What does the engine need extra, if any? Quote Link to comment

If the former you'll need to add the early GSX mechanical advancer and cover, if the latter - nothing its standalone, power, ground and connections to coils - thats it!
