Motovalet Posted August 20 Posted August 20 As per title, I’m playing around with an SRAD 600 RWU front end in my GSX750ES and they’re obviously quite a bit shorter. Is there a way of increasing the length internally or is it a case of longer fork tubes, springs etc. or a stepped yoke? I’ve seen fork cap extenders for other bikes, mostly H#####’s but nothing for these 45mm forks? Quote
clivegto Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Not done it myself with these forks but yes apparently it is possible with something like this. Quote
Motovalet Posted August 21 Author Posted August 21 Yes, that’s the extenders I’ve seen but not found any for these forks so guess you have to get a machine shop to turn you up some? I’ve also heard you can remove the top out springs and use preload spacers or longer springs, but not sure this would give much length? Thinking maybe best to bin the idea and use the spindler old tea pot forks I have which drop straight in and are longer but not as beefy looking as the SRAD ones! 1 Quote
BillyR Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Early R1 forks would be my go-to. Decent length and great brakes. Quote
