Gsx1100f CDI swap?

OK, so my project bike uses a gsx1100f engine. I have the loom for it but no CDI.

Can I use a cdi from another gsx1100 suzuki? Like a gsxr or a bandit ?

Provided the connector plugs are the same (i think none of the Bandit are) you can make any ECU work, they're all wired the same, even WC GSXRs (banana arm, can't remember the wiring on the mk2 WC)

That said, how the curve and rev limiter are set is a different matter, but any of the ones using the same plugs will make your engine and tacho run

You can use even 600 or 750 unit, but the redline is too much for 1100 engine and may break by overrevving it.

What ever unit you use, make sure to check the pinout is correct.
