Pegleg Posted August 21, 2023 Share Posted August 21, 2023 This is my budget ish build. Bike including purchase has cost me £383 up to now, before the turbo kit was purchased. It is 100% mechanically sound, just looks like a shitter. Took me 45 mins start to finish to paint it which gives some idea if it's appearance. I'm not much of a bike cleaner these days so no shiny bits. My first time to turbo a bike. Got a van that's boosted which is wicked fun so a Bandit was always gonna be next. Pegleg Posted September 9, 2023 Author Share Posted September 9, 2023 Couple turns and it fired up. Chuffed to bits. The whistle when slowing down is sexy. Now the fun starts dialling it in. Couple of issues. Won't idle without choke so possibly needs bigger pilots? Float heights are stock and not sure if raising/reducing them will help the idle. Anybody help? 1 Quote Link to comment
colinworth79 Posted September 10, 2023 Share Posted September 10, 2023 I ended up going bigger pilots as was lean . Sometimes at the lights it would cut out . I found that bringing the tick over up a bit helps when there turbo . As for the floats if it's not flooding the carbs I would leave it as is . 1 Quote Link to comment
