Gsx1100 katana swingarm

Hi I,ve got a gsx1100 katana think it’s got a gsxr1100 swingarm with twin shock mounts already fitted anyone know what rear wheel options I could go with hopefully for a bit wider rear wheel and what brake set up I,d need.

Well, basically any 5.5” rim. Possibly even a SRAD or Busa 6”as well. What size is the one you’ve got fitted?

That's an 18 inch Astralite. If it's a 4 or 4 1/2 inch rim it will be desirable for classic racing. Changing to a modern 6 inch rim is also going to involve a switch to a 17 inch wheel. Wouldn't you also want a matching front, a brake upgrade and so on? Or changing to a wider Astralite (18 or 17)? If so, good luck trying to find one at a sensible price Personally, I'd refurbish the Astralight wheels you have already. They look great (when not painted bright yellow ) and are period correct aftermarket competition wheels that don't need as much care and attention as anything made from magnesium alloy.
