johnnyboy Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Hi all, any idea where I’ll find the paint codes? Someone said these colours were used for UK 1100. Assume I need the white and dark blue as the rest are decals. The white is Pearl. chz Quote
davecara Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Pretty sure someone posted these on Kevin Carpenters FB page Quote
johnnyboy Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 Chz, I’ve put a post in group “Restoration R” on Facebook and think it’s his page. 1 Quote
johnnyboy Posted November 8, 2021 Author Posted November 8, 2021 Hi, I was given the attached pic via Facebook but RS paints say the following - -Marble soldier blue (pic powerful blue) -Pearl still white (pic Pearl cool white) They say powerful blue is only used with non metallic whites. The white names are also different. Any idea how I can confirm or I’m suggested to believe RS paints. Quote
johnnyboy Posted November 10, 2021 Author Posted November 10, 2021 So this is the list of codes, which I think is from the microfiche, but how do I confirm which are the correct ones…? Is there a map of chassis numbers to paint codes out there? Any ideas? Quote
Swiss Toni Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 These are old codes, and bear no resemblance to the modern ones. All you can do, is find some original panels, and paint match them. Dream Machine will do a perfect job, but it won’t be cheap! Quote
johnnyboy Posted November 10, 2021 Author Posted November 10, 2021 Hmm, I did think that was going to be the solution. I’ve used dream machine once before, never again, dicked me around like crazy. Thanks Swiss, still loving the hair. Quote
