38mm carbs

Hello,

             this is my very first time on here, i just got some 1991 slingshot carbs, they have the usual breather pipes but there's to huge pipes above them which are between the diaphragm housing.

 Does anyone know what they're for?

Go introduce yourself in the general section, and post up some photos of the bike. The hoses between 1&2 and 3&4 are vent lines.
