Hi all. What parts do I need to use to fit a w/c swingarm into a oil cooled slingy frame. I know I have to sleeve the main pivot. But what linkage etc do i need to use.

I have the complete slingy setup and the w/c swinger linkage and dogbone

I've tried searching but cant find out.

Cheers

The geometry of the rocker  link is the same between  slingshot an WC.

You have to mix and match bits from the 2 bikes but you should have everything you need to do the job.

Fitted a Wr arm to my  750j with out any dramas though Icanremember the specifics.

That's a good start thanks. I know I've seen the info before. Just cant find it. I dont have the frame in a rolling stage. So I guess I can just pull the swinger and see what fits. The geometry is my main concern

Did this many years ago. Gsxr 1100K with WR 11 arm and 5.5 inch 11L wheel. From memory, used the slingshot knuckle with the WR dog bones as they are slim and clear the inside of the arm at the top mount. The slingshot dog bones are cupped at the ends which makes them too wide to use. Use the WR bushings with slingshot bushings as they are a flush fit to sleeve the pivot bolt. Either superglue together or weld them with a light tack to the side of the bushings to keep in one piece.

Thanks for the input. Seems straight forward enough. I'm not to worried about the wheel fitment as I'm hopefull going a different route with them.

Do I need to do anything about the crush tube. If I was to glue or weld the 2 sleeves together.

Got the arm in. Used the w/c linkage and bones

I used the w/c crush tube. The smaller slingshot bushings can't fall in to the w/c crush tube as long as they are secured to the flush fitting w/c bushings, i.e made in to one piece bushings.

Sound. So having them welded would be the best option  then.

I'm sure I've read that the spindle could bend. Without the smaller crush tube. I guess this is not the case then?

Seriously doubt it would bend. No load on the middle of the pivot bolt and it's kept square on the bushings either end.

I see.

So I shall be replacing the bearings in the arm at some point. As this is all for mock up.

Wasnt sure if the 750m arm crush tube fitted inside  the w/c crush tube. So that will be something to do at the build stage.

Cheers
