Side skirt damage?

Hi, today by mk1 Busa pistons arrived for my turbo bandit project. After unboxing them I noticed there's some very noticeable damage on the sideskirts, seemingly cause by someone with a screwdriver. I can definitely feel them.

Would this be an issue, or is it alright to install these in a new bore? (Keeping the rings it came with if they're in spec, only 10k miles)

I would clean them up with some fine glass paper. You need to take the sharp edges of the top of the pistons at the same time. I would also use the rings.
