arit
Hi all, Looking to rebuild mine and missing a vacuum air screw. Can't seem to find one via most of the sellers out there ie wemoto etc... are these screws along with other items ie float bowl drain screws the same as other mikuni models? Quote Link to comment

CockneyRick
I probably have one, are you on about the one that screws through the body on side of inlet? Quote Link to comment
arit
cheers guys, also was looking at the gsxrblog carb rebuild and noticed there is an aluminium sleeve that goes over the pilot jets. Mine doesn't have these? Are they critical or necessary? Quote Link to comment
CockneyRick
Where? No 23 is pilot jet & there's nothing that covers it Quote Link to comment
CockneyRick
I think you mean Pilot Screw (No19) And some markets had them to stop people fiddling with the factory settings. More often than not, they've been removed either to adjust richness or during a thorough clean. Like mine Screw them al the way in (not tight) & turn em out 2 to 2.5 turns out as a base setting. Make sure they're all the same. Edited April 13, 2020 by CockneyRick 1 Quote Link to comment
arit
Cheers mate, Its the one in the pic attached - silver sleeve. Also whats the brass one to the left? does it come out or is it pressed in? also I have heard 1/2 turn for the airscrew from factory and 1 1/2 and also 2 - 2 1/2 quite a range. Mine was set at almost 4 from PO but I suspect because of an overall lean condition which I'm trying to solve Quote Link to comment
CockneyRick
L to R: Choke feed that doesn't come out, Then sleeve for Pilot jet to go down (mine doesn't have sleeve but doubt it makes a difference) Main jet. Quote Link to comment
