ibrakeformoose Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 I'm building a mk1 with mk2 loom and electrics/clocks etc., does anyone know how to cheat the mk1 sender into being accurate with the mk2 clocks? I'm figuring there must be something resistor-based that I can do.. Failing that, open to suggestions/abuse, but it seems a shame not to have a functional LCD fuel gauge as it's there.. Quote
Gixer1460 Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Do you know it will be 'inaccurate' ? Most tank sensors have about the same resistance range across bikes / cars / manufacturers and they are never much more than an 'educated guess' really! 1 Quote
ibrakeformoose Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 Not thought about that.. I'll give it a bash and see. Quote
Jaydee Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I have a mk.2 engine, clocks and loom in a mk.1 bandit. From memory the mk.1 and 2 senders have the same type of 2 pin connector. Just plug the mk.1 sender in to the mk.2 loom. Simples, works as it should. Quote
ibrakeformoose Posted January 31, 2020 Author Posted January 31, 2020 Cheers, I'll give it a go Quote
