Crass Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 As there are quite a few OSSers relatively near Ollerton, where we had this year's dyno day, and who probably know the Green Hut cafe (formerly Forest Corner), this might be relevant. It's under new ownership and the new tenants are very bike friendly. Chatting to them today they say they are looking to put on a bike night one day a week next year and would love to see loads of Old Skool Suzooks. Ok, I made the very last bit up, they said loads of bikes but I'm sure that's what they meant . Looking at pie and peas suppers on these nights. Anyway, they have a FB page for those who do that sort of thing and details will appear there in due course. New menu with changing weekend specials too. Fill those leathers! 1 Quote
Crass Posted March 8, 2020 Author Posted March 8, 2020 They have now announced the dates for this year (2020) for these pie and peas bikers nights. All 6pm to 8pm on Wednesdays - 24 June 22 July 19 August 16 September Quote
Crass Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 (edited) These dates are still going ahead so far. Note that if you use this cafe it is still open following yesterday's announcement doing takeaway only, which is fine as most people sat on the outside seating anyway. Open Friday to Sunday. Wherever you live try and support your bike cafes during this difficult time. Our way of life is under threat if we come out of this with everywhere closed down forever. Crass Posted May 10, 2020 Author Posted May 10, 2020 Reopening for takeaway and outside seating Friday to Sunday only initially, 8am to 2pm, from May 15 following Bozzer's announcement this evening. Quote
Crass Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 Obviously Covid put paid to the planned bike nights this year so far but the 16 September one is now going ahead. Quote
Dezza Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I went past it the other week and it looks like parking there would be really dodgy. It looks like there isn't any alternative to having to park on the main road but maybe I was missing something. Quote
Crass Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 There's no problem Dezza, both sides of the road have very long laybyes. Loads of bikes and cars park up easily. Quote
