Dezza Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 I intend to try and get to work a speedo sensor on the sprocket cover of my project bike, which has a wiring loom based on that from an 1100 slabside. I will be using a Daytona multi-guage and have been informed by the bloke at digitalspeedosuk that it should work with a stock Suzuki speed sensor. The sensor has 3 wires: black/red, black, and black/white. Black/white is an earth so that's easy. Where do the other two wires connect? I am guessing black/red goes to the clocks and black is a switched positive but has anyone done similar or has a Blandit manual (or other non-OSS bike) that shows where the wires for the sensor connect? Cheers, Dezza Quote
Lachie04 Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 It would appear +12v comes from the speedo to the B wire on the sensor B/W definitely "-" The B/R is the signal sent back to the speedo This is from a 600 Blandit wiring diagram should be consistent with all else 2 Quote
Dezza Posted September 14, 2019 Author Posted September 14, 2019 A thousand thanks to you for your kind help I can install a new wire that connects the B/R to the clocks and connect the B to the O/R that already goes to the clocks. Quote
