Allspeeds Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 I’m sure I already know the answer to this but are 1100 and 750 wheels for the K models the same fitment for discs, carriers etc and will fit into both bikes with the only difference being the 1100 is 5.5 inch rear wheel? i ask because I’m thinking of ordering some new OZ wheels as there on offer at the minute bike tourque racing advertised a set as being for a GSXR 1100 k and although my bikes already has an 1100 rear wheel in I want to be triple sure the 1100 front will fit my discs and forks as my chassis is 89 750 k I’m sure it’s all the same but I’d rather ask the question? Jaydee Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 1100K has a 4.5 inch rear wheel (160 tyre). It's the L models and onwards has the 5.5 rear wheels (180 tyre) which are easily swapped around. Harder to swap between 750 and 1100 as one has a 5 segment cush drive and the other has a 6 segment cush drive. Can't remember which without checking. You should be okay with getting aftermarket wheels as long as you get the correct sprocket carrier to match the cush drives. Disc fitment is the same across all slingshot and pre-srad water cooled 750 and 11's. Quote
Allspeeds Posted May 6, 2019 Author Posted May 6, 2019 Thanks for reply I’m happy now I know the disc fitment is all the same, oz wheels will come with there own sprocket carrier so if spindle sizes and spacers are the same but the only difference is rear wheel rim widths I’m good to go then Quote
Jaydee Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Just make sure it's a 5.5 inch wheel that you are buying because if OZ are stating it's a 11K fitment then they might be offering a 4.5 wheel. Quote

I recently had to have a complete new sprocket carrier made from scratch because of this. Front should be OK if you are not using radial forks/calipers. With a mix and match of frame and engine parts it can be a bit of a pot luck exercise so treat it as an added bonus of all goes relartively straightforward rather than the underlying expectation Quote
Allspeeds Posted May 6, 2019 Author Posted May 6, 2019 The wheels I’m looking at are listed for the bike direct fit GSXR 1100. I run a modified 1100 arm with 1100 5.5 wheel however my bike is a 750k so I wanted to be sure the fronts were to same I.e the wheels will go straight in Quote
