BFI1216 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Hi guys, bought this a few months back and will be looking to tear down soon and clean from the inside out and put my own touch on it. It’s a low mileage (10k) it’s been bored out to a 1216 so it’s rapid enough for me....for now. Looking to fit a USD front end on it can anyone tell me what years of the slingshot/slabbie forks are useable with bandit wheels. Maybe fit some dyno coils, ignition advancer. Any other suggestions anyone? Quote
Fazz711 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Hi bud. Welcome to OSS. I used a GSXR1100L front end and kept the 1200 bandit wheel. Just had to swap the stem from the bandit jokes for the Gsxr one. Quote
BFI1216 Posted February 25, 2019 Author Posted February 25, 2019 Thanks very much. Ideal, I’ll be on the lookout for a set of those then Quote
MeanBean49 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Dont bother with the ignition advancer, spend a bit more on an ignitech fully programable cdi and change the curve only where its beneficial, save loosing a bit of bottom end power, and still get the top end increase. Quote
BFI1216 Posted February 25, 2019 Author Posted February 25, 2019 Good advice thanks very much! Keep the ideas coming! Quote

I hate the dominators with a passion! I might as well be riding around with a candle on the front, so either the mk2 bandit headlight or the gsx1400 round lamp will be going on. As for the anodised bolts, they are horrid but I won’t be changing them for stainless steel bolts until I’ve pulled the engine out and resprayed it Quote
