  1. @Pheasantplucker  I've used a single throttle body off a Ducati, 52mm I think with a throttle position sensor, mounted before the turbo draw through style.

It has the same id as the turbo inlet so should allow a good flow of air to the turbo wot.

I'm a plumber by trade so the last few years have been a learning curve on bike building.

Small update while I'm here, the bike went to Specialist Components last thurs for crank/tdc setup so tuning should hopefully be underway.

  2. Got an update earlier this week, its all wired up ready but John wanted to test the injectors before continuing.

They're a pain to get out as the turbo and plenum has to be removed but he got all that out and tested them. Injector no. 2 was only flowing 60% of  what it should do so they're off for a refurb at the moment.

Explains a bit of the poor running.

So, closer but still a way off. Its in good hands!

  3. I think mine has had firmware issues from the start to be honest, I'd re-flashed it with the ms2 extra firmware and it had helped the vr sensor problem but I wouldn't be surprised if there are other issues with it as well.

@Screwriverracing, think mine was about £700 for the Ecu with loom connector, wideband data logger and a few sensors.

The ecu alone was £300-£350 I think, check on triggerwheels.

  4. So John at Track Electronics has spec'd an ecu and given me a price for supplying, fitting and dyno tuning.

I've cried, looked at my bank balance and cried some more!

Things should be moving forward though and hopefully John will work his magic and I'll be picking up a running bike soon.

  5. Pic of the plenum and injectors.

The microsquirt was bought complete with the wideband lambda etc, I wired it all up following the instructions that came with it, each pin was listed to where it went and each wire was labeled too so I'm sure it was wired correctly.

The first time it ran it was sweet, but after the crank sensor issues and firmware upgrades its never been the same.

  6. Yea will be going with a different ecu. The microsquirt doesn't seem to be reliable and I'm sure its been playing up ever since the issue with the crank sensor.

No divider plate in the plenum, different opinions on it I think but I'll see how it goes once its up and running properly.

  7. Recieved some bad news last week, the issues John has been having with the bike have continued. He got it idling nicer but the outer 2 cylinders were burning hotter than the inner 2.

The lambda reads slightly lean but the plugs are sooted up so there's an issue there somewhere.

Now the bike no longer runs, the ecu doesn't connect to the pc, the fuel pump runs continously on power up and the ignition amplifier is too hot to touch.

Basically, there's an issue with the wiring somewhere and the ecu is dead.

Obviously there are more ecu's out there now which are much better packages and they're more affordable too.

So I'm waiting on a price for a new ecu wired in and set up.

Not ideal but just got to keep going, will still go for an MOT this year and try to get some miles in on nice days.

  8. Its sad - the 3 axis bits look soooo smooth and shiney - makes everything else look bad! Its not bad, bad, just looks rough if you know what I mean?

My CNC mill is so small i'd have to turn that part around and do it in two halves - I have tool envy!

Yea I know what you mean, 2d just isn't as nice as 3d!

The maching marks will be removed before anodising though, keep it looking good.

Got clip ons fula, they've got a 50mm rise so the bars sit just above the top of the forks.

  9. Well, not heard anything from the dyno yet.

I can only assume its being worked on and is going ok, will have to see if Stu can find out or give me a number to call to find out if its going ok.

The top yoke came off the mill tonight, needs de-burring, clamp bolt holes drilled and tapped then anodising.
