  1. oh yeah before you guys go apeshit on my bike.. I rescued this one from a "wanne be a harley cruiser" guy... Im gonne completely rebuild it...
  2. The inazuma has a nice old school look to it.. , could be plug and play..
  3. Cheers Tony Yes I know I will have to modify the tank to make it fit a inzuma frame ,I allready fucked up a old completely rusted tank to see what neededto be done. I removed the ears from the inside flanges an pressed the inside open with a vw car jack ,I had not thought thzt now the upper outside wouldcollaps... As I said the tank was completely rusted so it had not much steel left inside so next time I will make some sort of a clamp to holdthe outside steady and torch the inside flanges red hot before spreading them out.. you live and learn..... This tank is now ready for the bin , so I looked for another one ,but just found a 750 tank ,so I wonderd if they are the same. Cheers Peter
  4. hello folks , looking for a gas tank for my projectbike (inazuma1200 with 80'slook) I looked for a 1100 et tank , but found out that they are quite rare ore else very expensive , now I find that the 750 et looks exactly the same and they are more common and cheaper... as I say "looks" I have not seen one closer bye or had both to compaire... The suzuki parts list says it's a differant number , but where would be the diff? volume?, underside/frame attachement? Also I see that the 80 and 81 tank looks differant , I much preferr the 80 tank by it looks , was there a reason they changed the ldesign after a year? cheers Peter

  12. OK here's the deal.. I am a newbie here on the site , posted my first message on the forum (looked what followed me home..) and English is only my third language (located inFlanders Belgium , so first is Dutch and second french , third would be german as there is a german speeking part of the country aswell but this is only a few square miles wich we got from the nazi's(at that time) as a war settlement but nobody gives a shite about those folks...lol so my point is that I 've been lurking around here on some rebuild information , but seem to read a lot of slang that I hove no idea what you guys are talking about for example slabby , slabside (the same as slabby??), theapot ??? wtf is that.. b6 I recon is a bandit 600 , but then you have all the rest of the letters and numbers behind them..is there some sort of list with numbers and years they made what type? just keeping it lightharted chaps..love the English slang (big Blackadder and English humor fan), well ...aslong as I understand it that is.. cheers Peter
  13. So I will slowely move this project into the designated section 'Oss member projects" hopefully it will get started even this year...as I need this bike as an extra hole in the head but as the equation goes " amount of bikes you want equals n+1 (n being the total amount you have )

  17. WAW...looks killer...did you have any issues with the tank fitting on the frame I'm planning to fit a gsx1100 ET tank ...any body done this? Iv'e seen guys go the opposite ..fitting a gsx1200 engine into an old frame...
  18. Hello Peter's the name and I live in Belgium. I was looking for a cool" budget " project bike to get my mind from the other chores of life.. so I got this inazuma 1200 for lunch money and I'm hoping to make a "hybrid" gsx1100 EX style but with the more modern frame and the 'tuff as nails"oiled cooled engine offcourse , I think all will be swapped but the frame and the engine, as you see the previuous owner made it into a chopper...(had no money for a harley me thinks) I know it looks like a monstrocety , but you got look at the "bigger picture"
