  1. im goin over on thursday mate but not paying those robbin bastards to take a bike!!!!

what bike are you going on? If i see you out and about i will say hello.

Dont know if you have seen the forecast but the weather isnt looking too great.

  2. A case of grin and bare the cost, dont know how long you expect them to last but if youre replacing the original ones they will be at least 30 years old now, so at the price of £96-00 thats £3-20 a year! doesnt hurt so much when you look at it that way does it?

What's the black piece next to the footrest hangers? Not familiar. Unless it's a cut off piece of hanger? What's it's use?

As you said it looks like a piece cut off a footrest hanger, the back of the hanger below in the photo matches it perfectly. had me puzzled too.

  6. If you would please, I had an idea the process would be quite expensive but its one of them jobs you dont have to do again.

A mate of mine had it done on one of his bikes but the company wont touch anymore bike wheels. Cheers

  7. Wheels look great, i was thinking of having mine diamond cut. Where did you have them done? Also if you dont mind me asking, how much am i looking at?

  8. I had the same problem with an x7,

contacted the dvlc (very helpful NOT) they said their computerized records dont go back to the 70S.

To be fair to the VJMC i spoke to a guy there (very helpful) and he told me to roughly assemble the bike just for ID purposes, lights, bodywork etc. take photos including the vin number

they then verify that its an x7 and apply for an age related number on your behalf for a small fee, bingo!

i know its a pain in the arse but it worked for me and you have enough parts there by the looks of it. good luck.

  9. I had to check coz you made me curious, this is the USA model, think it must have come from a dry climate hence the condition of the bracket.

    looks identical, hope this helps.
