@gixxert1100 asked the question about fitting a bandit sump on an 1100, perhaps you pair could swap sumps and pickups ?
Don't suppose you'd know if he's still after a swap do you??

Height is a big issue when fitting a 12 motor in a 550 frame, plus if the engine sit central you need to notch the frame for chain run, all god fun though

Got a little more done on it today but having a dilemma with speedo cable the gsx750f one is too short and the es one is different fitting at the wheel. Any ideas chaps ?
You can get universal Speedo cable extenders, I use one on mine, works a treat http://m.Eblag.co.uk/itm/NEW-SPEEDO-SPEEDOMETER-CABLE-EXTENDER-EXTENSION-200mm-LONG-M10-/191960310767?nav=SEARCH

You'll be needing the 1100 ones matey
As for shockers, I fitted a k8 gsxr1000 shock into mine, it fitted nice and jacked the rear a bit

i'm surprised it never went wandering after all the time it wasnt fitted, i remember i old gs550 had the sprocket nut and tab washer folded over and it still managed to rattle itself loose and come off, luckily the only damage was a snapped clutch cable and a missing sprocket nut but could have been much worse, hope you get it sorted properly matey

I like bodging but in this case I think I'll do the job right for a change

Me again to pick at the brains of those more informed than I......
My 11 powerscreen motor needs a starter clutch cover, will the 600 work or will I need an 11/12 one?
Cheers

It's a 12mm plug socket

Cheers Del, I'll get some jets ordered

Hey guys, come winter I'll be using a set of mk1 1200 carbs on a power screen motor, It'll be running pancake filters and open pipes, if anyone has any figures for a baseline that'd be greatly appreciated
-
Exhaust isn't an issue as I have a gsxr1100k 4-2 fitted so should be fine, don't think I'll have to cut the rails and I've modded the frame to take the 600 motor, I will have issues taking the rocker off I'm sure.....

Haha, cheers Viz!
Need to start a project thread on here about it as its had a few incarnations so far and big changes coming over winter, maybe a little visit to Fooey too, as the poor 550 frame isn't designed to take the power of an 11 so maybe a few braces here and there

Cheers guys, 15mm, Jesus, didn't realise it was that much of a jump......good job I've got an empty engine at home, I'll space the head up 15mm to give me the right dimensions and see what the clearances are like

Good morning oil cooled gurus!!!
I will soon be acquiring a power screen motor to squeeze into my 550/600 ratbike thing.
I was just curios to a couple of things...
what the biggest front sprocket I could run on it?
How much taller that a 600 motor are they?
Would a set of bandit 1200 carbs suit it?
Cheers guys

Hey guys, just a quick one, i remember there being a thread a while back about swapping the top bearing to fit k6 forks to a slingshot, i cannot for the life of me find it. Can anyone remember what the top bearing was please? Thanks
