What fairing is that Mark?
Bike looks great
Bandit 400 limited edition.
A couple of jap companies are remaking them now. One is called american dream at a frankly insane cost and I did find a 'classic knockoff company' making them somewhere as well but lost the details. They are a git to find. That much I do know!
Also thanks, I must admit I love the paint. It is bonkers

if the cooler is too big it blocks air flow over the fins.
Too big. On a positive note though it'll sell easy to a bandit owner with a streetfighter fetish and you can pick up a smaller one and pocket the change eh

Run a similar setup on a 2002 mk2 as well but using a TF035 spinnybob.
I run stock ignition and has been fine at 15psi.
I run busa piston also. get new rings is my advice.
No spacer needed.
I did budget as well although to be honest I did not think Dave charged alot anyways for the work involved.
If its too new a picture the mods will zip it into oblivion. I'm just so pleased with the new paint! FLAKE MAN!

Thanks for the comments,
The budget is if I have the money it can get more shiny bits added, I was looking at about £1000 for and engine check and maybe a few dress up bits. As i am in no rush I will just look out for any bargains. If i set a strict and proper budget i will only be disappointed everytime I go over it and then the new one I set again. Great point on the new cases as I will prob be easier to move the internals over during the overhaul and replace the bits that are on the way out.
I was looking at a company called Coba Valley Cycles based in Dorset, I sold a HUC frame last year and the buyer recommended them, does anyone have experience with them ? For the fab work (tank / subframe). Also anyone have experience with PHW (pointy hat wizard) based in Essex, again for fab work ?
If anyone thinks this is "similar" to another frame out there let me know please, I know there are loads of oneoffs out there but worth a try.
I will keep you posted with any progress but may be a few months as I have like most too many projects with are forming a queue, and the YZ80 is next on the agenda.
for that kind of money you might be advised to give dave dunlop a call. He builds turbos but obviously can do a stripdown on a motor. Such things come down to trust of you want it done for you. Trust is worth paying extra for.

I do love those dymag 5 spokes. have the mag version on my Bindit mk2 turbo. makes all the difference.

Were is there doing frame kits now, used to be spondon, martek, polygon,Harris from when I can remember but none seem be be around anymore.
Steelheart down in Kent still working. As always though Lee is busy so you wait. Trick is to know what you want and have the spondoolix before going to visit.
His work is the equal of any of the frame builders I have seen as it is more than another kit bike. It will be a one off.

as has been said. there are others ha;f finished or badly done to mess with.
were it mine it would stay as stock as it could be.
beautiful bike btw!

I thought the port spacing was the same. so that makes it likely. whether the collects match though.. less sure. Have you tried contacting them by email and asking?

damn that looks painful. bike can be repaired eh. Body first.

the basket inner hasn't got ridges in it from hard launches has it? Mine was kinda fucked due to this and it caused issues pulling the clutch out and engaging after the last time I ran it up the strip. I tried a needle file to smooth it but in the end bought a new basket.

yep. no point going nuts on size and blocking air flow to the barrels which is likely more important in reality.

Beers good. Burgers are good too. May see you there dave. Don't forget your tweed

smaller rear usually means more grunt from the turbo oddly due to the increased load.
I stayed stock.

Awesome bike. I am sure Ash did have one with pink decals at some point.
Give yourself a shock and type WP Roma into eblag. There is a set on there... comedy money! PS. ensure you are sitting down when you do it.

for handling on the efe simplest way to make a stab is to ensure the lower frame rail is level. The bandit fronts are usual long enough so best solution may be to lower the rear.

I seriously doubt it. hippy is more if a 'give me a hammer and a bastard file' kinda chap. I do believe he removed the system actually as he was building something new. May well be for sale
