  1. thank you , its the possition the wave washers go i am stuck with and cant make out direction in pictures , is it flat or concaved first and is concaved with widest or narrowest towards engine or out........hope i explained this correctly ? number 11/12
  2. anyone know the order of plates in 1100m , i gather the taperd washer goes into the recess first then flat washer before clutch plates steel or fibre , not sure if driven or drive named, i had fibre then steel but still slipping and been told its opposite way , haynes is a bit vague , only got a couple of hours to get it done as need to take impact gun back ,
  3. Not sure but the oil pump failed and smashed then dried up me cams. My nos was not on I was just ticking over, heard a cracking noise and switched off when I restarted it started to squeal, took head off , knackered cams . Took sump off and full of trinkets
  4. massive thanks to both , will investergate more , was running geat with 12 engine ane yoshi op[en exhauast dur soon ads i put sidewinder on it was a little shit , blew 12 engine and now got 1100m so need to start again
  5. ive got an 1100m engine with 36mm bandit 12 carbs fitted, ram air filters , v&h sidewinder exhaust (baffled) proberbly been asked a million times but here goes , anyone know a working setup as at the moment its running rich with a lot of pops and bangs, think i got 148 mains in at the moment ?? all suggestions appreciated

  8. yes you need your starter relay , i had trouble with the charging system but all sorted now
  9. m-unit blue on mine also , no need for relays/fuses as all built in , better with push buttons

    this kept revving past 1100rpm so i will need to set the limit before this one goes bang.......anyway , ive followed all your tips and its running near enough pretty well through all gears and range then the clutch started slipping and thats with barnett spring fitted , could be my pushrod , if not it looks like new plates after holidays ? this is what i done incase its of any use to anyone else needle 2nd from bottom a/f mix 2.5 out floats 15mm 160 mains (prolly could do with some fine tweaking but hoping to get it on the dyno after september) with v&h sidewinder (baffled) -ramair single filters on 36mm mikiuni bandit carb's into an 1100m engine.....i must say i gave it some beans going upto the ponderosa cafe and the bike feels well planted even with long swing-arm it went well round corners , could be down to the frame i dont know but it felt good , cant wait to get suspension set-up and new tyres ,lol. so massive thank's to all you all @ OSS FOR HELP

    no chance of an airbox sorry , no room , i will drop the rpm limit on dyna2000 and see if its made stutter go ?

    running dyna ignition and set it to 1100rpm on an 1100m engine , also got mini motogadget speedo which displays 9-10.000 rev stutter ? not sure on speed i was going but not too fast as i need to calibrate the mph

    right then i am getting somewhere now , lifted needles all up and it backfired a lot on shutdown so moved needles down one , checked for leaks and fixed. 2.5 on the mix which was on 3 and it runs much better but now stutters about 10.000 rpm . i have 150 mains and thinking i need to go up again but that seems alot ? or should i lift needles again now i am on 2.5 mixture ?? many thanks for all the info given i am picking up on my carb knowledge ok for now, always something to learn

    carbs are in good condition when fitted to 12 engine few weeks back , dyno would be perfect but got big hols to pay for september before i can spend anymore on the bike, just looking for a set up to see me through until i get back

    ive got stage 3 bandit 12 carbs fitted to an 1100m engine which when overtaking it has a flat spot pretty low down revs , ive been told to lift the needles two grooves which i have ended up lifting one but not tried it yet , any other suggestions to try after this ? also got baffled vance & hines sidewinder with foam filters

    got the paint done and she passed the mot with headlight advisory, sorted the slipping clutch , i think , will find out later and have a small flat spot low revs to sort and its finished.....for now

    cool , took it apart and checked , yes two wrong way , put back together with more rounded side towards engine and popped round the block , only got to 2nd high revs and no slip , will take it a little further tomorrow and see how it goes.......did have a low down stutter i will need to look at

    yes thought it was odd to scuff them but beggers cant be as they say , all plates are flat but one did have very slight discolouration , friction are oiled , never thought of checking basket, ive also added a barnett spring

    thanks lads , i managed to get it off in the hoping the clutch plates are the same as bandit but no, was told to scuff up the metal ones so done that and banged it back together but not tried yet , will see what its like and if no good i will try a couple more pushrods before i buy new plates
