Yep! But we'll see when it arrives. If it works I saved at least about 25€ from buying the propper Suzuki part! Thanx Cockney -

SATANSAM replied to SATANSAM's topic in Air Cooled
Hi again amigos, I finally bought an oil pressure switch FOR A CAR! I'm still waiting for it from Germany, but it's got the correct pressure measurements, correct thread and the correct length. Price: 3,10€, but of course, 10€ shipping costs. I'll let you know how it gues on. Mean while, the bije is looking like this now (waiting for propper red paint). -
OIL PRESSURE SWITCH GSX750EF, MAYBE USE FROM ANOTHER MODEL?
SATANSAM replied to SATANSAM's topic in Air Cooled
Nope, the GSX750ES/EF ave the switch in the signal generator cavity...I'm reading about generic, standard oil switches such as from cars, a mechanic friend of a friend (already sounds bad!) Sais he uses switches from cars, swithces that cos around 4€! Risky BUT SWEETER THAN SUGAR! -

So basically, the 1100 switch might not admit or resist that much pressure the 750 has? Thanx again all of'ya! -
Hi there amigos, I changed the push rod, it was very simple, I can show photos and do a simple tutorial if anyone needs to know how to do it in this same bike. The clutch is perfect now, gears change so smoothly. Anyway, gettin there with the restoration....But still very naked as you can see! Cheers friends.

Hi there friends, Here I am, still restoring my gsx after my accident, halfway there! Anyway, my oil pressure swith has gone (GR72A) It's quite difficult to find, and if I do it's terribly expensive...Does any of you know if any from other models would do the job? I've even seen from Mitsubishi cars that look exactly the same! haha Thanx in advance, this page is a kick in the butt to all mechanix here in Spain. The super naked Suzi sais hello!

Hi friends, The clutch was still hard, but could ride the bike...Saying this, going don the mountain road, the clutch cable came out the actuator or clutch release, however it's called, and had a terrible accident. 15 stitches and bad back. I'll never go through this again. Just to let everyone know whats happened and what can happen if the push rod isn't changed. Cheers friends, Sam.

I just did it but no luck. Well, I did try before about a month ago without knowing well what I was doing and it got smoother...Anyway, I've got the new push rod for 15€ a week ago, I'll get to it in the next oil change. Thanx again Hacri!

Hi and thanx Daveyboy! Nice to know all this. I've tried adjusting the actuator on the in the cam cover, loosening the nut ant unscrewing the screw that backens the actuator, but seems there's no more play or "space". If I press the brake handle without screwing the cam cover the it's smoother of course but the cam is pushed back out my the actuator...A bit difficult to explane but anyway haha Thanx again!

Hi there! Not much more to say, just that the clutch cable is new, correctly fitted.....I'm nearly sure it needs the clutch push rod changing...Any suggestions? Thanx frienzzz!

Thanx, this helps, I was really doubting Las pic...I'm going to shorten the front mudguard. Cheers amigos!
