The sensor was to monitor the acid level in the battery. Don't recall the kat clock having a battery level light like on the ET & EZ etc so probably not an issue for you. I have used the Motobatt like yours for about 3 years.
thanks mate i will use the motobatt

You could use heat shrink.
Iv used self amalgamating tape when doing harness repairs / mods.
Weird stuff no glue, it just sticks to itself and turns into one piece. You can get it from Maplins etc..
thanks mate i will google it now

well folks it now all about the look, my harness is shabby looking, is there anythin g i can get to cover the wiring as the sleeve is not great that is on it, i dont want to use tape and i have to remember the plugs are all on the ends,is there something out there i can put over the original sleeve ?

I'm guessing it may be from the transition period, or someone's swapped a later motor in - how many cam cover bolts?
Anyway - if it's a 103mm stator, it'll be the 130mm rotor, and you'll need the larger PCD cover from a GSX1100 or 83+ kat.
Besides the PCD difference, the mounting face is offset by 3.5mm (which may cause problems), and the small stator won't charge with the big rotor.
thanks Gamma fair play to u,a great help
