My engine number starts with V711 it is an 1127 motor, I was a bit confused because it is a 7/11

really enjoying this thread , some great fabrication going on ,, learning alot too..

Its a shame the Bandits get a hard time , this is looking pretty sweeet to me , love the mods ,, exhaust and front end looks good ,, maybe a tailpiece change and I reckon your on the money..the angle of the rear subframe looks good ..

Hi Folks , I had a side stand problem on my 7/11, the bike sat way too far over . So after reading a few threads on here I noticed a member here used a new mounting plate . Great idea so I did the same , all the ally you see is 10mm plate and seems plenty strong enough. and the distance between original holes measured 35mm so I moved the bracket down 35mm so in effect the new plate on the rear had 35mm spaced holes left to right and up and down. the smaller plate you see was just a back up incase there was any flex in the main bracket , this would allow and movement to be taken up by this smaller plate in a compression capacity. As it happens there is no flex at all. The original side stand had M8 threads so these were just drilled out for clearance holes . and now some pics..

Thats great thanks ,, so I can just fit a WN I take it that the 750WN and the 1100WN is the same..

What is the length of the stand , my 7/11 is leaning over way too far so could do with 50mm longer stand , its a 750wp frame i reckon and its 200mm bolt centre to centre of foot ..and I need around 250mm .
