Going to fit a head cooler to my turbo GS over the winter, the oil flow will go as in the pic below,so oil to cooler out of cooler to sump as its going to be mounted behind my battery box, does the oil return need to be below the oil level or can it drain from a higher point on the sump? Anyone forsee any issues?

So , is the head cooler for a GS or GSXR motor ?

8.4 metres! Sheer luxury. The turning circle of my Spondon is similar to that of a cruise liner O.o What yokes are you using? If they've got less offset than stock items this will be a major contributor to the lack of steering lock.

Has to be on the 'historic vehicle' VED category on V5. Vehicles 40+ years of age are eligible. See separate thread in general topics. FBOAB came up against a wall when trying to get his Q reg Moto Martin as historic. Apparently the DVLA demanded a document from Martin stating the year of manufacture, which he has been unable to obtain. Whether the DVLA change a Q to an age related plate and then give it historic status if a dating certificate is produced or they just change a Q reg vehicle to historic I have no idea. My Q reg Harris is 40 years old in 2027. I already have a dating certificate from Harris so watch this space to find out (for four yearsO.o).

According to my log book for the Harris, it was registered in 1993 so only 30 years old ! So a bit of a wait for me !!:(

I will try the AliExpress jobs see if they have enough give.

When you ratchet them on are you just putting some steel plate over the carb intakes, strap round the front of the engine and force them on, I presume?

Yeah, thats pretty much how I do it but using a length of 4" by 2" timber.

Tried some different size lights for a look see. We start with 4" then 4 1/2" and last one is 6".IMG_20230427_111929.thumb.jpg.f385a7c2d3b77e360fda569296f63686.jpg IMG_20230427_112510.thumb.jpg.fd907056361e970958f4988c531c78ae.jpg IMG_20230427_112933.thumb.jpg.400a040bc0f270a4e9a7d4b34950803b.jpg

Not my bike but as you asked....................I prefer the bigger headlights. Ultimately your decision, so just saying.
