    Which tail!

Yep. And I'm a reasonable fabricator who likes a challenge. Some things just lend themselves to a project better than others though. Like that mito tail...
  2. I've heard it's wide, but surely can't be hard to cut the pivot width down. I assume that can be done in such a way that keeps the wheel central and chain line right. I've no idea though. I guess ducati is another option if I want to stay 3 spoke. Don't know how hard that is either though. Probably a fair bit more expensive too

Are they both just variants of gsxr400? Is it possible to get the tank to seat junction to flow when using gsxr400 plastics?

    Which tail!

If you feel like selling it to a good cause, let me know
  5. Thinking of going sssa on my 1990 gsxr750. I know they are heavier, it will be hard to get the suspension working properly, and the look is a little old hat to some. But, if I decide to go for it, what's involved with getting the triumph arm in? Pivot is wider right? Easily narrowable? Chain line close enough to tweek to get right? What shock parts combo? I have a lathe, but no mill, but could get access to one if needed.

I believe all 3 of these are mito. 125 evo I think. Similar to 916, without the lower side vent and a little smaller overall. I am hoping to get my girlfriend on the back though so not ruled 916 out yet either.

Found the pics showing gsxr400 and I think rgv too. I've now twigged the difference between 916 and mito too. Pretty sure I want cagiva mito, so the search is on.

    Which tail!

I have been through it before, a long time ago. I'll look through again. Just hard to tell in pics sometimes what bike the tail came from.

    Which tail!

Realising now I probably should have put this in general!

    Which tail!

Seems I've bought myself a 1990 gsxr750. Been fightered, has an r1 tail. I've been wanting to build a stripped down gsxr for a long time so am going to stay traditional which means the tail will be either gsxr400, rgv250, cagiva mito, or ducati 916. I'm trying to decide which one I like the proportions of but finding pics, I never know exactly what the tail is. Anyone got a pic of a slingshot with any of these tails, and know for sure which it is? Mito is smaller than 916 right? Rgv vs gsxr400? Thanks.
