Hi guys, new member here, I have a 78 750 fitted with a Metmachex arm.

I need to replace the bearings and wondering if my arm takes the same bearings as a standard arm.

Just wondering what I need to order before I take it apart.

Thanks

Are you sure that's Metmachex? Looks more like a JMC to me.

I'd be interested in the answer to your question.....I've got one too. I'd assumed it used standard bearings.

Yeah, I just hadn't seen that kind of bracing on a Metmachex before.

Good luck with the bearing job. I've just taken some out if a standard GS1000 arm and they were a right bugger.

Got the arm out, bearing size is 33 o/s 29 i/s 30 d so not standard size? Guessing I measure inside between the rollers right? Or is it casing size? Standard size is 22x29x30

Ah thanks bud, thats probably where Ive gone wrong then as I measured the i/d across the face of the rollers ( not that they roll any more as rusted up solid) the arm is stamped gs750 gs1000 gsx750. Thanks for the offer but am popping into my local shop tomorrow they keep a selection of bearings in stock.
