bandzior64 Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 Hi All Having bought a replacement engine and giving it a quick once over ( was assured it was a ok ) I bolted it into the frame and connected every thing so as to be ready for its first fire up. Having found Great advice and info within these Halls of wisdom I carried out a clutch conversion (thank you Lee) . I was finishing off connecting the oil cooler lines when I noticed the sump plug weeping oil. Upon inspection I have found that the thread in the sump has been stripped, I now it can be fixed with a heli coil repair, but I have the original engine on the bench and can take the sump off that, but I need to know if it is possible to remove the sump from the engine while still in the frame. Thanks for looking Quote
wraith Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 Basically yes, you are best putting a new sump gasket on Quote
