KATANAMANGLER Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Which body panels are interchangeable between the 750 and the 1100 Slabbie? Same question for exhausts. Quote
lez1971 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 (edited) 86 and 87 750 lowers are interchangable, 86 and 87 mids are interchangeable but you have to drill a new mount where it bolts to the head and 86 87 top fairing are about 1/2 wider at the mirror mounts. if you used the right fairing mount 1100 with 1100 and 750 with 750 mount. Of course the 85 is the odd bod in the whole set up top fairing with 3 bolt holes where it mounts to the mids and the 85 lowers are originally fibre glass and slight variation on the length. Exhaust all have the right spacing but 1100 pipes on a 750... depending on model ive only tried on an 85 hang too low and need the fairing cut Edited July 30, 2015 by lez1971 1 Quote
lez1971 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 are you fitting 1100 panels to a 750 or 750 to 1100 Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 I have an 1100 frame and wanted to know which panels I could use ( including the tail) Quote

canamant Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 If you are using an 1100 motor in the 1100 frame then some 750 pipes will be too short and foul the sump. 1 Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 I think I'm using a B12 motor. ( which is lower still?)So an 1100 exhaust or. B12 then? Quote
kokolis Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 11/12 have the same height, the 1100 exhaust will be fine, as for height, but you have to check if it clears the sumb, a dummy fit will do, otherwise you have to change sumbs or use a 1200 exhaust that you will need mod at the midden/rear mount. KATANAMANGLER Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 Yeah even with my limited oil cooled engine knowledge I was aware of the Bandit sump being lower and the 1100 sump swap work around. I'll wait and see what presents itself in the way of parts and make it up as I go. It helps to start to put together a potential shopping list early on but it always comes down to what crosses your path. helps to know the variables though - Cheers Quote
Del Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) If you are using an 1100 motor in the 1100 frame then some 750 pipes will be too short and foul the sump.Only the short stroke headers. I have just fitted a micron 4-2-1 system from a long stroke 750 onto Sonny's 1100G( I also have a 750L micron 4-1 system on my 1100k) Also this is Sonny's 1100g with 750g full bodywork, all i had to do was make 2 S shaped tangs to allow for the 2 fin height difference between the 11 and 750 barrels. And this is the 750g it came off of(Mark Fullers old turbo 7/11) And also works the other way. This is my old 750H with full 1100H bodywork Edited August 6, 2015 by Del 3 Quote
kokolis Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Some aftermarket exhaust systems were suitable for both 750 / 1100.By slabby,s anyway Quote

Does that mean it won't work? Any guidance welcome. Quote
