wet weather misfire

Recommended Posts

Drain holes are clear , blasted some contact cleaner through to be sure. Lifted the tank and fillEd the green connector and the coil connections with vase line,  the coil connections were hanging whereally steam off the manifold could reach so I moved them back cable ties to the air duct now well out of the way . Hopefully it won't reoccur

It happened after rain....could it be a poor seal around the petrol filler cap??...This would also cause problems when the bike is dry as it's already in the tank.....or perhaps its carb related and just a coincidence that it started when it was raining !!....not wanting to compound your problems :(
