synthetic or semi synthetic

im going to give my bandit 12 a well deserved oil change this weekend i have a gallon of putoline fully synthetic DX4 oil (it even has a 1200 bandit on the label) is it ok to use this for my bike or is semi synthetic a better option

in the '80s the engine was designed for semi-synthetic 10W40. There's no reason to use full synthetic now.

Never used fully-synth in my oil boilers, semi-synthetic at most, straight mineral if I can find it.

I would top it up with grease instead, old machines can develop leaks with thin liquids like oil you know.

thats ok ive just found some briggs and stratton lawnmower oil that should do the trick

I use canola cooking oil in mine. Smells like a McDonalds french fry when she gets hot.
