Sticky carbs suzi 750EF. FROM TANK???

Hi again folks,

So, rejetting the carbs, carbs in ride carbs of reject carbs in blablabla…. left the bike stopped for 1 week, and end the pilot jets arrives, got the carbs out and STICKY. 

I thought EPOXY from the tank? Sealed it bout 2 years ago and it was dry. Maybe something to do with petrol? Don’t think so but….Crap, if it’s the tank, What shall I do?

what was the sealant you used ?

It was a make that does epoxy resin for inside petrol tanks

”Epoxy resin for solvent-resistant laminates. Specially designed for the interior lining of unleaded gasoline tanks.”

I’ve emptied the tank and some of it in an empty carb bowl to see if it gets sticky these days….Man, after so much work now this

it doesn't sound that good if it does that !!!!!  i use por15 with good results (so far) if it does fail it goes flaky

Yep, scary....Let's see...I'll ride the bike a while and take carbs out and see how it goes, but man, loox like I need another tank, and I've painted it. We'll see, thanx!
