yoshi Posted July 16 Posted July 16 hi lads i,m looking at getting the clutch cover powdered on my 1100 et , what i,m wondering is will the seal on the oil window be able for that heat in there oven ta yoshi Quote
Toecutter Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Best to pop it out. Replacement seals are available. If you're careful can reuse old one with a light smear of black silicon. Better finish on powder coating too with seal removed. Just make sure the hole the deal seats in gets bunged. Quote
Dezza Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Maybe painting is better. I read a scientific paper comparing different coatings on engine parts and powder coating acted as a sort of insulator, resulting in much retained heat. Quote
