Hookem530 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 For example I have a '77 gs 750 frame I am wanting to put a gsx1100f oil cooled motor in and I'm seeing the drawings for the 1000, 1100, and 1150 frames motor mounts to accommodate the oil cooled gsx motor so what would be the difference in motor mount location in my 750 vs a 1000 or 1100? Swiss Toni Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Very little, I would think. The 1000 motor will go into the 750 frame, and vice versa! The 'thou motor is quite a bit lighter than the 750 too. 1100 Teapot is both lighter, and smaller, so will fit the 750 no bother. Quote
Jonboy Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I may be wrong but I thought the GS1000 motor was taller than the GS750 giving clearance issues with top frame rail and also fuel tank(although they do fit!!) as for oil cooled variants, as Swiss Toni said smaller lighter etc..... Quote
gsx Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 All air cooled changeable but oil cooled , especially the eleven a lot taller and clash with the tank Quote
