Resistor in 1100f Powerscreen loom

Hi all,

I'm just trying to sort my wiring for my 7/11 project. I have an 1100f Powerscreen cdi,  loom and engine but not the right ignition barrel and it doesn't work.

I think there is a resistor in the 1100f ignition barrel- is that right?

And how do I fool my loom/CDI into thinking it's there? Before I buy an ignition barrel...can I just fit a resistor between two of the wires that go to the igntiion barrel.

Am I correct that it's 100ohm; as lots of other Suzukis seem to have that, but I can't find any info. on the Powerscreen.

thanks - andy.

No resistor in powerscreen loom. Check your connections, test with a multimeter and see if you've got power to the CDI/coils. Check ground connections, etc. If all else fails, bridge the red and orange wires at the ignition switch connection on the loom and try again.
