Hi, ooh notice the mistake in my last post should have been anyone know or have any tips on how to refit tail piece on suzuki gs1000 1978 the two back bolts won't drop down through there holes due to the back of the back light, cheers kev,

Yes,tail piece drops down fine with out the light unit on, can't fit light in afterwards as you can't do up light bracket bolts,

yes, was all fitted nice on the bike until i took it off now dont seem to go back on,

When I fit the tail piece on my gs1000 I do have to push the rear light down and backwards a little for the tail piece to slip into position, it doesn’t need much but moves just enough on the rubber mounts.

Cheers mate are give it a go do you remember how many washers on the tail piece bolts as can't make out fowlers website,

Here’s a few photos of mine Kev, plus the official blurb from a dealer set up manual…..it is a little fiddly and care should be taken with your wire routing
