DGJ Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Has anyone replaced this cam chain guide as i'm having trouble removing it is there a nack or dose the crank case have to be split ! Quote
Swiss Toni Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 (edited) There is a bracket on the back of the tensioner blade, which is bolted (1 bolt) to the rear of the crankcase face. Move the guide forward for access. The guide just locates in a pocket in the lower crankcase. Go and introduce yourself in ‘General’. Tell us about your bike. We love pictures. Welcome to OSS. Swiss Toni Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 (edited) @DGJAh! I didn’t read your post properly! I was thinking 1100! If you look at the picture below, it looks like the bottom of the tensioner blade is captive. Probably between the crankcase halves. If that’s the case … yes, you will have to split the cases. Anyone got a manual for it? Edited October 26, 2022 by Swiss Toni Quote
DGJ Posted October 26, 2022 Author Posted October 26, 2022 I thought I might have to arrr well going to have to bight the bullet will keep you posted. Have a climer manual not the best . Quote
Zenerdiode Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 There are two metal studs on the bottom of the guide that form the pivot. They are captive in the top crankcase half so yes, cases have to be split. Quote
