TrunKz Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 (edited) Hi, i want to adjust a Dyna S in the efe. It’s a little bit different to a GSX. the EFE works with the T Mark in the middle of the left connector when I use now the ATU from the GSX is the T mark nearly on the top, but not in a line with the white marked stripe on the old ignition plate. what is the correct way to adjust a Dyna S? 1: the stock atu with T mark to the middle of the left connector 2. change the ATU (no Position change 3. install the Dyna plate and adjust the connectors Is T the same like F ? I’m not sure that it works Thanks for help Edited February 23, 2022 by TrunKz Quote
Gixer1460 Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 I don't understand - gsx & efe are interchangable! As regards use of a dyna S! Quote
TrunKz Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 the EF has no markings for F/T. how can i set the ignition? Quote
Gixer1460 Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 I've never been that fussed about it - crank has pin that engages with ATU and Dyna rotor fixes on ATU one of two ways. Set plate in middle of slots and fire it up! I suppose you could check exact timing with an adjustable strobe light but never found it necessary! Quote
TrunKz Posted February 28, 2022 Author Posted February 28, 2022 That’s clear. But is it necessary to use this timing plate Quote
Gixer1460 Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Doesn't make any difference if you do or don't! I find TDC via pointer in plug hole on piston, bit more accurate than a piece of bent tin LOL! Quote
TrunKz Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 I have to apologize for the stupid question. I simply hadn't seen the mark in the area of the upper screw. the previous owner had taped the cover with black sealant. thread can be deleted. 1 Quote
