johnnyboy Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Hi, wondering what the standard spring rate is, I’m guessing 0.8 kg/mm ? And are these seen as about right or do people tend to go lighter or heavier? The bike will have a b12 engine and a light rider. And, are these forks cartridge type? I’ve read that they are but also seen them listed as ‘cartridge like’ which I’m not sure about, or are they olde damper rods? thanks Quote
dupersunc Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) Have you cut and pasted the text from elsewhere? The springs are 0.7 kg/mm so very soft. Depends on use and how you ride. I would aim for 0.85 max for road use. They are a early cartridge type. They work quite well, properly sprung and set-up. Edited December 29, 2021 by dupersunc Quote
johnnyboy Posted December 29, 2021 Author Posted December 29, 2021 Yep, pasted from a note, I’ll go with tougher springs, I remember having 0.8’s on a ER650 which is a lighter bike, chz Quote
