bomberone Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Just looking at the ever increasing list of jobs to recomission my old Kat.. Noticed on the Kona dial a rides which were always ok, the bump stops have disintegrated.. Can these be stripped & repaired does anyone know? Also the front master cylinder has shat itself and scarred the original fairing paintwork - dammit. Quote
Dezza Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 Koni are now called Ikon, so they're probably the people to contact. Unless you bottom out a lot it probably won't make that much difference though. The bump stop on my rear shock disintegrated a few years back and I have never noticed any problem at all. If it's stock master cylinder and isn't a complete mess inside (damaged bore) then you should be able to get a rebuild kit from Suzuki dealers. Quote
bomberone Posted March 14, 2020 Author Posted March 14, 2020 That's a good call, just to remove the broken bumpstops.. Master cylinder looks stock, alloy unpainted, never any trouble when it was in use.. I see there's a number of repair kits on fleabay but will see what Suzuki can offer first.. Cheers Quote
