I am working on a kit to mount a 2005-08 GSXR1000 6.00" rear wheel to the stock GSXR1100 swing arm...

On my 1989 GSXR1100 I am mounting a 2008 GSXR1000 swing arm. I am going to use the 2008 GSXR1000 linkage and shock mount location... This is a work in progress. Still working on the swing arm pivot spacers.

I’d like to know how this one turned out, I’m trying to fit a k7 arm in a 1991 gsxr11 myself..

Black box with the four terminals (under the orange perspex) comes with two fobs, buy them off Eblag for around 20 squids, 12v 40amp Chinese jobby...

..no lazy Eblag link, just use your noggin and type what you want into Eblag search bar.

Th axel joust b box you’ve used has a plug in remote facility I think?

  3. Hi, has anyone tried to fit one of the new hid/ led headlights in a Et cowl?

I see on Eblag there are some rectangular jeep headlights on offer!

  4. Worth taking the time and trouble to get it right.

I collected a failed streetfighter project this morning with a nice JMC arm in it but the fella who built it had the chain run so bad it has eaten a chunk out of the arm, didn't spot it till i'd handed over a wedge of cash!

No I don't think so, when JMC got broken into and a load of material along with 10 boxed and ready to ship swingarms the guy who owned the company was gutted.... then the insurance refused to pay out.. he was a broken man.

The stock was just the alloy extrusion lengths and apparently it was fucking expensive...

The thieves got away with a good bit of it too.

I bet the bastards weighed it in! what a waste.

Yes love a challenge, was surprised how different the 2 magnum 2 frames are. The green one was for a early Z motor the red one had a GSX 1100et motor .

Ive measured a harris frame that was built for a gpz1100 , the tubes either side of the motor have different bends and the tubes up to support the seat aren't parallel , it doesn't matter where they are but they are not a mirror image of each other.

Things of beauty none the less.

  7. Enjoying following your build, any idea what motor the frame was built for?

What about the motor for the red frame, there seem to be so many differences when you look at them closely.

I'm trying to build my own frame, very similar to a magnum 2 so ive been looking at a few.

Like the turbo, you do like a challenge!

  8. VERY slow progress, selling all the pipe benders I have collected as I have bought a Pro tools hydraulic bender with heaps of dies so should do everything I need.

Picked up a heap of 80x80x5mm box to construct a jig, it has to be adjustable as I have a harris and a rickman as 'Patterns' I wont copy either.

A friend wants a frame to put a 750n kwak in too.

    Moving forward ...................................................slowly!

  9. No progress unfortunately, empty bandit motor on the bench an 8x4 sheet of mdf with wheels and rake trail drawn on but that's all.

I have a few projects on the go at the moment and need to get these done to clear space, I'm also looking for a good pipe bender as the two I have aren't as good as I would like.

I have a plumbers three legged bender and an old crossbow type bender they are both hard work to produce repeatable bends.
