impressive scoot you have there….
Thanks SiBag!!
On a whim,* I decided to swap in a Shorai battery from one of my other Bandits, and voila! So, the m.unit is fine, and I'll be speaking with Shorai.
*actually, my wife said, "just put in another battery." </blush>

Well, I would have it back together, but the m.unit is completely dead. Odd since the bike’s just been sitting, and I even started it a few times since tear down. I checked all the usual suspects and the m.unit is getting 12V (and ground) but does not power on. I’ve sent a message to Motogadget and Spiegler-USA.
Any m.unit users have one shit the bed?

Yes, please but perhaps the OP could consider changing the title of the thread?

Nice Blandits Ever thought of investing in an aftermarket frame kit to save another 2 tons of mass?
Thanks! All three of my Bandits have material removed from their frames so that they weigh juuuuust under two tons.

Thanks Dezza ! I'm 99.9% sure these are the ones I found on cmsnl.com.

I have recently sourced some 750 L rubbers so I could fit RS 38s. They are an easy fit and you can also use the OEM carb clips from a 1200 Blandit. I can try and get the numbers if you so wish. I got the rubbers from posting a wanted ad on this site I think the 1st 750 slingshots 88,89 J,K had 36mm carbs and then they went to 38 in 1990,91 for the L and M models but I may be wrong here. 93 was W. The W still has 38mm carbs but the rubbers may be different.
Thanks Dezza! Part numbers would be nice. Worst case scenario, I'll order a set from csnl.com.

Blandit rubbers will be stretched if used with 38mm carbs as they are designed to work with 36mm carbs! The ones you list are for 40mm carbs so will be an easy fit. Whether sourcing / using 750 38mm rubbers will be worth the expense / hassle is for you to decide!
Thanks. Would that be the 90-91 750?

I know this is an old thread, but are the 13101-41C00-13104-41C00 too big for 38mm Mikuni RS carburetors? I know the Bandit 1200 inlet rubbers will work with 38mm MIkunis, but I'd rather get a set that doesn't require force and stretching when fitting the RS38s.

Looks good! Are you leaving it silver?

Try swapping in a working battery from another bike. Unloaded battery voltage can be misleading.

As far as I can measure with a ruler across a bare frame they're 230mm. They do have that threaded adjuster thing on one side though so I'd think you could go +/- 2mm on that.
Brilliant, thanks bluedog59!

I thought I once saw a list of swingarm pivot widths on OSS, but a search came up empty.
Specifically, I'm looking for the swingers pivot width for a 1993 GSX-R750. Anyone know?
-
Yes, thanks Gixer1460 that's the part. I'm looking to have a machinist make a billet piece, and he needs the specs on the splines.
-
Does anyone know the specs (number of splines) on the shift shaft and the linkage part that slips over it on the 1200 cc bandit?
Thanks!

Any idea if the 92 numbers are different?

Fookin' fabulous, thanks much!!

Hi - I'm having a machinist fab me a custom top yoke. It will replace a GSX-R750 piece. I've searched a bit, but came up empty. Could someone please tell me the offset (distance from stem hole center to line connecting fork hole centers) and the fork spacing?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Dezza - the gauge on the silver Bandit is a KOSO TNT unit. I drilled the rear caliper bracket to fit the sensor and it’s held in place with a grub screw. I don’t like the extra wiring around the front wheel or sprocket cover, so this works well as the swingarm hides the sensor and wiring.
