That is quality fabrication work, love it.
-
Mine back in the 1980's was a plain gloss black, no pearlescence, nice GSX by the way.
-
You sound like a seasoned professional, look forward to hearing of its arrival.

general_piffle, I recently looked at buying an EFE in Ireland and importing it to the UK, one was even an ex UK bikr. There were so many layers of bureaucracy that I canned it in the end, even down to having to go into a bank branch to transfer the money, not ordinarily an issue but when your bank has closed all of it's rural branches and then there's the fee to transfer, I gave up and bought a UK bike. I sincerely hope your transaction is smoother and would love to here of it going successfully for you.

It's a thing of beauty!!

Dual springs are standard configuration from memory of last time lifting the lid on a GSX motor, I may be wrong but there's plenty of knowledge on this forum to confirm.

Sidestand sorted, headlight issue sorted, stiff throttle lubed and returning freely, historic vehicle V5 back and ready to go. Just been too busy but £83 insurance to pay and we're going out.

Wasn't really looking for a Kat, was more after an EFE but this popped up on Autotrader and at a fair price. The seller was not hands on at all, it was always vanned to the dealer, even for a new battery! Straight up guy though. Side stand is suicidal so new spring, shoulder bolt and a pack of shim washers on the way. Brake hose swell like inner tubes so braided kit on the way. Intermittent dip beam function so multimeter out today.

Yes, genuine Suzuki black chrome pipes.
-
Dezza it's an 1100, the pipes look original but I'll check if they are Suzuki, they look the same as the Kat pipes I had on my old 1100ET with a bit of dexion to mate up the mounting brackets.
-
It's well tidy and original so it'll be ride it first and see what develops from there, probably end up going restomod but keep the ability to go back to original at some point if needed. Forgot how heavy they are so hopping off a Doocarti onto it will require some sensory recalibration.

I thought it was an ME33 but it's on Lasertecs, I'll be checking how old they are before taking it out. Last hit the road just before Covid, carbs need a clean but she's ticking over better each time she's fired up.

Well, 250 miles later she's finally home and squirrelled away in the garage until I can check her over, daughter's boyfriends stuff is taking up too much space!

Thanks gents, that'll be just one of a list of jobs to do on it when it arrives home.
