  1. I have a 1985 gsxr 750f  , jap import with the 3 x clock set up.

    I have some 1100 slabbie 2 x clocks , which I  want to fit.

Do I need to fit a different mount frame ?

And does anyone have a spare one ?

    Cheers puddy  :)

  2. Right , well just to answer my own question,  to swap from an 750f front wheel to a 1100g front , use the 15mm id 750 bearings , everything else is the same.

750f rear wheel to 1100g rear is basically a straight swap including the disc , sprocket carrier,  spacers etc.

Hope this helps others in the future.

    Cheers puddy  :)

Take the underpan off, and use car jacks (carefully make sure it's well supported, and front brake zip tied ON) after disconnecting the dogbones to adjust slowly to the height you want then measure the difference in bone length

    Don't forget your sag tho

I was mostly kidding about making the bike uncomfortable. Too many old injuries at this point to be super aggressive with them anymore. Gonna mount the right side first as that’s my bad knee, and once I decide on a position, figure out the shift linkage for the left.

Do any companies sell shift linkage in various lengths? All I’m finding here in the states is crap for Harleys.

Generally , a couple of male threaded m6 rose joints and some threaded tube , and some small fab on an old gear lever does it :)

The forks could have been changed to the later ones for the 17mm spindle ……

That would be confusing , I haven't even mentioned swapping the rear wheel yet for an 1100 one , lol

The first F 750 had a 15mm front spindle and then the g and H and the 1100’s had 17mm so part numbers could be the same

    Was looking up 85 , f model , mmmm.

Measured the 1100 bearings and you are right , 17mm  :)

Hopefully the ones I  get are 15mm as I  have an 85 gsxr 750f
