I assume you're saying that his 29's are bored out to 33 which would hand a "top end" advantage to the 36's however, I think the 29's (unbored) would still retain a lot of their advantage out of slow corners. Swings and roundabouts, just like I said earlier. The only way to sort it is dyno and track test both.

My bike has been on the dyno we did 28 runs to get the bike as i wanted.

And yes my 29’s are bored to 33

Powerdelivery probably  makes a big difference compaired to rene’s bike also

Hope it doesn't sound cheeky...but are you both about the same weight? And do the bikes have the same gearing?

Dunno bout weight and gearing but i do know my bike has lighter wheels better suspension bla bla the bikes are not comparible

@Leblowskiand myself do trackdays together, both with pretty much stock 749's. His is on 29 (33) Flatslides, myself on 36CV's.

Power on the dyno is roughly the same but coming out of a slower corner, I'm fucking nowhere...

I don’t see my flatslides as a plus i cant just wank the throttle i have to rolllll the throttle on high revs and the bike is unforgiving when in wrong gear

Yam MT03? looks like a 4.5" version of the R1/R6 5 spoker, which is quite light.

Aprilia RS250 rear wheels are light-ish, but not super light - probably lighter than the slingy wheels. Also, SV650 wheels are 4.5" too, should be lighter, and close to a drop in.

Take kawasaki wheel from for example a zx6r or er 6 i reckon the have smaller rims at the back

them wheels look old ish also and are one of the lightest production wheels availabe

  5. I used an audi quattro K04 turbo on my 1216 turbo it made around 230 240 ish at the wheel putting in more boost didn’t make more power so it was well out of steam at 230 / 240.

Aftermath made me realise it was far to small for a 1216 and i reckon it was a good turbo for a 750.

Perhaps I should've explained myself better. Improving the airflow isn't the objective with the modifying idea (especially as the K&N's appear to flow air better than oiled RamAirs already). The idea was to remove the reflective surface -the rubber flange- as to solve the problem with pressure waves bouncing back into the intake. I guess sticking a piece of material that would absorb or deflect these pressure waves onto the inner face of the flange would work too.

I presume you did not use any oil on the RamAir filters? If you did, what kind (and how much).

For racing bikes air filtration isn't nearly as important as for road bikes as the milage is far less. The aim is just to stop larger particals (plastic bags, birds, nuts/bolts) from getting sucked into the engine and sacrifice as little power as possible.

Yup, these RamAir filters are pretty cheap. And the construction and material seems very good. But if you're not using any oil on foam filters they simply do not filter dust from the air that otherwise gets sucked into the engine. That's when cheap filters become pretty expensive over time.

Nope not using any oil must say i doubt that it’s neceserry with these ram air filters they are made from other material then kn filters

cant find any info on the ram air website either if they need lubrication, i reckon its not neceserry

  7. I reused non copper cometic headgaskets more then once on boosted engines

I always clean em up and give them a thin layer of copper spray. Just dont go mad with spraying to thick.

untill today i never had re used a headgasket that failed.
