  4. INFO NEEDED does anyone know of a big tubed bob moss frame that originally held a fireblade motor, ive been told bob was either a frame builder or racer who came from scotland, story is there was three frames built , two destroyed and i have only one left ,think bike was published many years ago... any info/help would be greatfully appreciated

  5. just a thought but maybe previous owner used fully synthetic once ? an old mate done the same many years ago and he only went 10 miles with it in , dropped oil , flushed out and filled up with correct oil , the clutch kept slipping in high revs for 8 months before he ended up buying new plates

  6. looks like the turbo is on hold for a short while , after doing a spot of research and some great info and help from a member ive since found out the turbo is fecked, theres also about £200 of parts i need that are missing and another £250 to have it set-up along with about £150 for new turbo.....bit gutted but will keep on plodding and get it fitted soonish

  7. on my 1200 with 36mm carb's , free flow zorst and ramair filters i have 155 mains , 2.5/3 turns a/f mix and 2nd groove from bottom on needles ...not saying its right but you will be close, mine is a little rich and does need a set-up

You'll need an oil cooler if it's an oilboiler you are fitting it to,but no inter cooler if you are referring to that, some of the more knowledgable turbo boys will be along I'm sure but if you need to look at a turbo kit fitted,my bike and Kev Kearsleys bike will be at the .Manchester show this weekend and also the Kickback show at Stoneleigh in two weeks time

thanks paul , i will also have my bike on show at the kickback , hopefully catch you there and will have a look at your turbo , which bike will you have or if you see me near my gix give me a shout....i have oilcooler , this is the pic of what ive bought , complete novice to turbo's but learning as i go

I downloaded this from the old site a few years ago. Some of the dimensions are missing but might be of use to someone. :)

is this for gsxr ? would like to try and add a cover over/umbrella  top of carbs / filters  to stop rain ? maybe bad idea just thinking aload

Well from what I can see, Yoshi have nicked a For Sale sign from outside their unit, and then glued a heat reflector to it, plus a bit of edging material held on with cable ties.

It would look a lot better moulded in CF with a raised OSS logo and a simple return around the edge, getting the Heat wrap integrated from the start of the moulding process would be epic. I'm guessing that it would fit most OSS bikes with the odd hole punched through it with an angle grinder and a Dremel.

How different are the heights of inlets and spacings across about 20 yrs of Hammamatsu's work, FFS. You're only realy trying to get around the carbs and the dims of even the most exotic ones are likely to be not much more than stock. It could even be a blank spacing on the inlet side and you supply a template for different models/generations.

    Make it so No 1.

I can probably have a cardboard template to you on Weds next week. That would be GSX sorted, I've no doubt that someone with an oil boiler could get another one cut up to confirm the fit. That would probably fit water boilers as well.

Genuinely, it's a genius idea and every body on here would probably want one.

that would be great for a template , even better for a loan of gsxr one,  anyone want to loan me one it will not be damaged and if all works out well you will get a free carbon one
